Hello! *KK-the-Fox speaking, and I'd just like to explain what the Fan Character Adoption Agency is about.

If you need a fan character or have one you don't care about anymore, you've come to the right place!


1. Donate an unused or unwanted character (All art WILL be watermarked; if you do not watermark your art then we shall do so.)
2. Adopt a fan character
3. Request a fan character


1. Either choose or create a fan character that you wish to donate. Make sure the art IS ON YOUR DA PAGE SOMEWHERE, even if it's in scraps. PLEASE DO NOT SEND US DOLLMAKER IMAGES! WE CANNOT PUT THEM UP!
2. Submit the art of your fan character via DEV NOTE. If you post it on the front page, your comment will be ignored and hidden. We do have reasons for this.
3. If your artwork is not watermarked, then we will watermark it for you via Photoshop with your DA URL. This is to prevent stealing. Download will also be disabled.
4. Be aware that once your character has been adopted, you can't take them back. This is because it wouldn't be fair to the adopter.
5. You may choose who adopts your character. When donating a character, please specify whether or not you would like to choose who adopts your character. If so, please keep track of your own character's adoption requests. If you do not wish to choose your character's adopter, then they will go on a first come, first served basis.


1. Find a character you like. Simple; right?
2. Post a comment on the artwork requesting ownership. Again; simple.
3. Each picture will specify whether or not the original artist wishes to choose who adopts their character. If they wish to, leave a comment and wait until the original artist gives you the character. If not, it is left on a first come, first served basis, so please do not comment if someone already has.
4. Just because the character now belongs to you DOES NOT mean that you may claim the original artwork. AND YOU MAY NOT CLAIM THAT YOU ARE THE CREATOR. As a precaution we will be using watermarks on every picture.
4. IF the original owner has been banned, is no longer on DA, or moved without alerting the club, we reserve the right to give away the donated character.


If you don't see a character you like, fill out a quick survey and let the artists give it a shot! Click on the link at the top, fill out the survey, and submit it to us via DEV NOTE.


We have rules to keep this as orderly as possible. Please follow them or we will deny your ownership requests and possibly block you from the club.
1. COMMENT AND FAVE THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK ONLY. Do not fave pics here.
2. Under NO circumstance can you claim that you created the artwork and/or design of the fan character you have adopted.
3. NO stealing the artwork! Although we will have watermarks and the download disabled, no stealing! If you're interested in stealing then SHOO! Go on, get outta here!
4. NO FLAMING.
5. If the original artist is choosing a new owner, feel free to leave a comment.
6. If not, and if someone requests the fan character before you: sorry. First come, first served. Please DO NOT comment if someone already has.
7. If you put a character up for adoption, you can NOT take back the character once it has been adopted.
8. If you do not respond within a week when your character creation request is completed, it will be put up for adoption.
9. You may only adopt ONE character every TWO weeks. Your comment WILL be hidden if you ask for another within that time.
10. Also, if you wish to be a designer or adopt characters, please watch this account!


By adopting a fan character you agree that the character design is NOT yours, and that you did NOT create the original artwork. If we catch you claiming either or both, then you will be in some serious trouble, as you will be reported, and the original owner resumes character ownership. If you violate this, you will be denied any future ownership requests as well as character requests. The same occurs if you are caught stealing artwork and/or characters from artists.


I'm sure you all have questions... which I shall answer!
Q: How do you know my art won't get stolen?
A: Watermarks will be put on EVERYTHING, and download will be disabled.
Q: What happens to the character art once they've been adopted?
A: All adopted characters will be moved into scraps, and "THIS CHARACTER HAS BEEN ADOPTED" will be placed in the artist's comments.
Q: Can I become part of the staff, and if so, how?
A: Yes you can! You can become a designer for the character requests by simply sending a note to this account or to *KK-the-Fox!

Bebo: Fan Character Adopting
I hope the Bebo account will assist in advertisement and decrease theft. I will NOT be posting ANY fan characters there, for safety reasons. It is just for advertisement and in case there are people on Bebo who would like to adopt but do not have a deviantART account.

Oh, and if anyone would donate a subscription to the club it would be highly appreciated, and you would receive 3 free requests from *KK-the-Fox.
